Environmentally-friendly solar energy – produced in-house!
ROBUSTA goes green: For the sake of the environment, we are producing our own electricity. Three of our production halls have been covered with modules since September 2013. We were also able to do something good for the environment in the course of renovation work. The new roof is composed of sandwich elements insulated with 16 cm thick mineral wool – one of the best solutions for building insulation currently available on the market.
The potential for savings on heating costs is estimated at up to 60%. Together with about 20% savings on electricity costs, this is an investment that is not just good for the environment but also means a substantial reduction in energy costs. The photovoltaic panels were mounted on a 3,600 sq m roof area – and have been supplying an average of just on 180,000 kWh power each year.
Just in the first two months after its commissioning, the new system generated 11,000 kWh solar energy – an impressive success!
